"Our little caravan grew self-conscious, and fell dead quiet, afraid and ashamed to flaunt its smallness in the presence of the stupendous hills". TE Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom
Whereas more than two-thirds of Jordan is covered by desert, these deserts are as different as chalk and cheese! To the northeast we have a rocky, black basalt desert that reaches into Syria, to the south it changes to become more of a classical sandstone desert. We can show your clients deserts with moss and juniper bushes in them, 7th century palaces, cities deserted for millennia, nature reserves and natural formations – get them off the beaten track!
Desert Tours are usually undertaken in high quality 4x4 vehicles which clients can drive themselves after a short training session- other options including horse-riding or camel caravans are also available.
