The Nabatean Wonder Itinerary


Day 1, Arrival Amman
Your Jordan holiday begins with your arrival to the Queen Alia International Airport. Assistance with formalities by a Jordan Select Tours representative and transfer to the hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2, Amman/ Ajlun/ Jerash/ Dead Sea
Breakfast. Start your tour of Jordan by taking a short bus trip north to the Mamluk fortress of Ajlun, followed by a visit to the Graeco-Roman city of Jerash. After lunch drive down to the lowest point on earth for a dip in the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3, Dead Sea/ Madaba/ Mt. Nebo/ Wadi Mujib/ Kerak/ Petra
Breakfast. A whole day to explore the King’s highway, which was once part of the ancient Silk Road. Visit the mosaic town of Madaba, and stop over at Mount Nebo for a view over the Jordan Valley. Continue your tour in Jordan by moving south to Wadi Mujib then proceed to the Crusader’s Castle of Kerak. Lunch followed by visit. Transfer to Petra for dinner and overnight.

Day 4, Petra
Breakfast. Morning tour of Petra, the Rose Red City of the Nabateans. Start your guided tour with a horse ride up to the Siq and proceed to explore this amazing world heritage site.The Rose Red City of Petra will surely surpass your wildest expectations. Lunch inside the city at the Petra Basin restaurant. Visit the higher parts of the city before returning to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5, Petra (Aaron’s Tomb)
Breakfast. Morning departure for a full day camel ride to Aaron’s tomb, isolated on the top of one of Petra’s highest mountains. Lunch box en-route. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6, Petra/ Beida/ Wadi Rum
Breakfast. Late morning transfer to Beida, also known as Little Petra, and the place where the Nabateans used to entertain their guests. Continue south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, where lunch is served followed by a jeep tour inside the Wadi until sunset. Enjoy the view while drinking a cup of traditional Bedouin tea. Transfer to the Bedouin camp area deep inside the desert where a large Bedouin tent will be set to serve as the group’s sitting room and smaller high quality Canadian sleeping tents will be prepared with comfortable mattresses, sheets and blankets. Traditional barbecue dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 7, Wadi Rum/ Dana/ Amman
Breakfast. Morning departure to the Dana Nature Reserve. Apart from its wildlife the reserve is rich with archaeological sites and culture. During your holiday to Jordan you can always go in for a short hiking tour at the reserve followed by lunch at the Guest House. Departure north back to Amman for dinner and overnight.

Day 8, departure
Breakfast. Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport. At the end of your tour in Jordan you will receive assistance with formalities and departure.

The Jordan Classic Itinerary


Day 1, Arrival Amman
Upon beginning of your holiday to Jordan and arrival, a member of our staff will meet the clients at Queen Alia International Airport for assistance with customs and immigration procedures. Transfer to hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Amman/ Um Qeis/ Ajlun/ Jerash/ Amman
Breakfast and begin your Jordan tour by departing north to visit Um Qeis, a city, rich with basalt ruins and overlooking the Jordan Valley, Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius (the sea of Galilee). After lunch proceed to visit the village of Ajlun with its fortress and magnificent view into the Jordan Valley. Continue to visit Jerash; one of the most preserved Graeco-Roman cities in the Middle East and return to Amman. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Amman/ City Tour/ Dead Sea
Breakfast. Morning city tour of Amman to visit the ruins of the Amman amphitheatre, the citadel and the Umayyad Palace. Transfer to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the surface of earth. Lunch at the hotel and free time at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Dead Sea/ Madaba/ Mt. Nebo/ Wadi Mujib/ Kerak/ Petra
Breakfast. Morning departure south through the king’s way, an ancient route that still has marks left from traders, armies and pilgrims who crossed it centuries ago. Visit the Christian Town of Madaba “The City of Mosaics” and take a detour to Mount Nebo, the site of the endearing monastery. Proceed to Kerak through Wadi Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views. After lunch visit the Kerak castle with its diverse history dated from the Byzantine to the Mamluk period. Depart to Petra for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Full day visit of Petra
Breakfast. The visit of the ancient Nabatean Capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Rose Red City with its spectacular treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers and high places of sacrifice. Lunch inside Petra. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Petra/ Beida/ Wadi Rum/ Aqaba
After breakfast proceed to Beida, also known as little Petra. Continue south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum for a jeep tour inside the Wadi until sunset. Enjoy the view while drinking a cup of traditional Bedouin tea and proceed to the beautiful gulf city of Aqaba, Jordan’s only outlet to the sea. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Aqaba/ Amman
Breakfast. Free day at leisure in Aqaba. Those interested in snorkelling can enjoy the sport at one of the world’s most conserved coral reefs. Late afternoon transfer back to Amman. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Departure
Breakfast. Morning transfer to the airport. Assistance with formalities and departure to final destination.
